Positions

We are actively looking for self-motivated students to join my team to conduct cutting-edge research on information visualization, visual analytics, human-AI collaboration and HCI. We have multiple opennings, including PhD/Master, research assistants, visiting research students and undergraduate research positions.

For Perspective PhD and Master Students

We are looking for PhD and Master students in Computer Science. During the postgraduate study, you will be involved in cutting-edge research in the general areas of data visualization and human computer interaction. Good candidates are expected to satisfy the following requirements:

  • A bachelor/master degree in Computer Science (or related fields) with good programming skills;
  • Being passionated about doing excellent research. Prior research experience in data visualization, data mining, machine learning and HCI will be a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills in terms of both writing and speaking.

Scholarship and Funding Support

For (Remote) Visiting Students and Research Assistants

We are looking for visiting students or research assistants. Below are a few types of applications we will pay special attention to:
  • We always welcome year-3 or year-4 undergraduate students or a soon-to-graduate master students, who have an interest in joining the postgraduate program at NTU, to apply for short-term visiting positions at our team. You are highly welcome to apply for the Global Connect Fellowship at NTU to work with us for about 2-3 months.
  • If you are an ongoing PhD or Postdoc from China and would like to do a short-term visit at our team, it is generally expected that you should stay at NTU for at least 6 months. Also, it will be a plus if you can get funding support from Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) or your home university.

For Undergraduate and MSc Students at NTU

We are looking for self-motivated undergraduate or MSc students at NTU to join our ongoing research projects, and you will work closely with my PhD students and me. The general expectation is that you should be good at programing and can devote yourself to the project. What we can provide to you is:
  • Research skill training
  • The opportunity to conduct high-quality research on data visualization, HCI and human-AI collaboration
  • Research compensation, depending on the funding availability
  • Conference travel support, if you are the leading author of a research project and end up with a Tier-1 publication.
